Welcome Consultation Session
During this session we’ll take the time to get to know you. Whether you’re curious about Pilates or already have a regular practice, we’re here to listen. Feel free to ask any questions about Pilates or our studio, share your motivations and explore how Pilates can benefit you.
What to Expect
Before your Consultation Session
Once you’ve contacted us we’ll have an initial chat to discuss how Pilates aligns with your needs and we’ll schedule a convenient time for your Welcome Consultation Session.
During your Consultation Session
During your session we’ll delve deeper into how Pilates can specifically benefit you and you can share any relevant information including medical history, injuries or illnesses. We’ll assess your posture and explain the fundamentals of Pilates alignment, movement and breathing.
As we guide you through a variety of exercises, we’ll assess your movement patterns with a keen eye to find out if there are any areas that are affecting your ability to move in an efficient and functional way. Based on our assessment, we’ll provide tailored advice on any exercise modifications required to make sure you are exercising safely and optimally. At the end of the session we’ll have a ‘blueprint’ of your body, your movement patterns, your strengths and your weaknesses and we’ll both have a clear idea of the areas that we’ll be working on in your classes.
After your Consultation Session
Having assessed your individual needs and aims, we’ll discuss the most appropriate class for you to join, depending on your availability, goals, budget and lifestyle.
